SIFAX Marine Services Limited has unveiled a 2026 growth plan focused on fleet expansion and asset-led development to boost its presence in Nigeria’s offshore and oil and gas marine services market.

According to Afolabi Olayinka, Executive Director, the strategy marks a shift from revenue growth driven by rate increases to a sustainable model anchored in vessel ownership and operational capacity.

“Our experience over the past year has shown that long-term growth comes from investing in marine assets we control,” Olayinka said. “Building a strong owned fleet gives us capacity, resilience, and competitive advantage.”

The company plans to acquire additional sea-going barges, creek vessels, and offshore support vessels, increasing operational capability, deepening market reach, and unlocking higher-value contracts within the oil and gas sector.

Expanding its fleet will enable SIFAX Marine to retain more value within the business while delivering consistent, responsive, and reliable services to clients. The plan also emphasises participation in higher-tier oil and gas projects, with vessels meeting regulatory standards to access more tender opportunities and improve prequalification with major operators.

“Fleet growth is about readiness,” Olayinka added. “We aim to respond swiftly to market demand, particularly in offshore and oil and gas support, where capacity, compliance, and reliability are essential.”

The strategy also includes strategic partnerships and joint ventures to scale operations faster, as well as potential expansion into vessel management and complementary offshore services, reinforcing SIFAX Marine’s position as a full-spectrum marine services provider.
