Survivors Seek Answers as Melania Trump Rejects Epstein Allegations

The First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, has publicly denied any connection to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, calling for an end to what she described as damaging and unfounded claims.

Speaking at the White House, the First Lady stated that she had only briefly encountered Epstein more than two decades ago and had no knowledge of his criminal activities. She firmly rejected suggestions of any involvement, insisting that allegations linking her to the case were attempts to harm her reputation.

She also dismissed claims that Epstein introduced her to the United States President Donald Trump, describing such reports as false and malicious.

In a notable move, the First Lady called on lawmakers to organise congressional hearings that would allow survivors of Epstein’s abuse to testify publicly under oath. She emphasised the importance of giving victims a platform to share their experiences and ensuring their accounts are formally recorded.

The statement has drawn mixed reactions. While some political figures have expressed support for the idea of public hearings, survivors and their representatives have raised concerns, arguing that many victims have already provided testimony and should not be burdened further.

The issue continues to attract legal and public scrutiny. Past reports and publications linking the First Lady to Epstein have been challenged and, in some cases, retracted following disputes over accuracy. She noted that legal efforts to address what she described as false claims would continue.

Epstein’s associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, was also mentioned during the statement, with the First Lady denying any personal relationship and describing previous correspondence as casual and insignificant.

The renewed attention to the case is likely to intensify debate over transparency and accountability in ongoing investigations tied to Epstein’s network. For survivors, the focus remains on justice, recognition and the handling of evidence by those in positions of authority.
