Founder of Streams of Joy International, Pastor Jerry Eze, has gifted gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey a new car to mark his 45th birthday.

Bassey, who turned 45 on Thursday, disclosed the gesture in an Instagram post on Friday, saying he had planned to spend the day quietly thanking God before discovering that Eze had arranged the surprise with his wife.

The singer said he was left speechless by the gift, adding that Eze insisted on getting him a better car after his wife initially suggested another vehicle.

According to Bassey, Eze told his wife, “my brother can’t drive that,” while insisting on a more suitable car.

Bassey wrote, “Normally I keep things like this private, but not this one. I want to share this.

“Woke up yesterday just desiring a nice easy day of gratitude to God. Unknown to me my brother and friend @realjerryeze had this holy coup ongoing with my wife.

“Of a truth the surpriser had been surprised. Still don’t know how to really express this in words.

“He insisted on going for the very best when my wife suggested one to get. In His words ‘my brother can’t drive that’.”

Bassey also described Eze as a generous person, saying he knew of other surprises the pastor was planning for different people.

He said Eze had not only surprised him but was also preparing similar gestures for others.

Bassey thanked Eze publicly, saying the gift was not the reason for their friendship but expressing appreciation for the joy the gesture had brought to him and his family.

He prayed that the joy Eze had brought to him would return to the pastor and his family in multiple folds.

Bassey also urged his followers to join him in appreciating Eze for the birthday surprise.
