I’m Not a Fan of Kendrick Lamar’s Music – Kanye West
American rapper Kanye West has admitted that he is not a fan of Kendrick Lamar’s music, despite acknowledging his skill as a rapper.
In a post on X on Friday night, Kanye, also known as Ye, shared his disappointment over Kendrick’s feature on Playboi Carti’s latest album, I Am Music.
“I don’t like Kendrick Lamar’s music,” he wrote. “He raps very good, but I didn’t need to hear him on Carti’s album.”

His comment comes shortly after he criticized J. Cole for apologizing to Kendrick over a diss track.
During his performance at the 2024 Dreamville Festival, J. Cole expressed regret for responding to Kendrick’s shots at him and Drake on Future and Metro Boomin’s song Like That. He described his own diss track as the “lamest sht” he had ever done.
However, Kanye disagreed, arguing that J. Cole made a mistake by apologizing.
