In celebration of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha, the Federal Government has announced that Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, will be public holidays.
The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made this declaration in a statement on behalf of the Federal Government.
Minister Tunji-Ojo extended his warm congratulations to Muslims in Nigeria and around the world, urging them to embody the values of sacrifice, obedience, and faith that Prophet Ibrahim exemplified.
He also called on Nigerians to use the Eid period to pray for peace, unity, and prosperity in the country.

The minister assured Nigerians that the current administration’s people-oriented reforms and initiatives are designed to put the country back on the path to progress.
He urged all Nigerians to join hands with the government in its efforts to restore Nigeria’s greatness.
As Muslims celebrate Eid-ul-Adha, the minister’s message emphasized the importance of unity, peace, and collective effort in building a prosperous nation.
