Former Kano Governorship Aspirant Abdulkadir Guɗe Dies at 63
A former Kano State governorship aspirant and Secretary General of the Northern Reform Organisation (NRO), Builder Abdulkadir Yusuf Guɗe, has passed away at the age of 63.
A close associate and fellow NRO member, Malam Hamisu Umar Yakasai, announced Guɗe’s death, stating that he died in the early hours of Friday after a prolonged illness.

“We have lost a valuable member of our community, a dedicated leader, and a true friend,” Yakasai said in a statement. “His passion, expertise, and commitment left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.”
Guɗe, a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano State, was widely respected for his political influence, community service, and reform-oriented ideals.

In an official statement, the Northern Reform Organisation described him as “a gentleman, community leader, urbane public servant, and statesman,” noting that his absence will be deeply felt by colleagues, friends, and all who worked with him.

He is survived by his wife, children, and several relatives.
