Tinubu Pledges, Unwavering Support to Troops in Katsina
In a bold show of solidarity with Nigeria’s armed forces, President Bola Tinubu, recently, visited a military base in Katsina State .
He pledged unwavering support to frontline troops battling terrorism and banditry across the country.
Tinubu’s visit to Katsina follows a wave of violent incidents in recent weeks—raids and bombings in communities across Borno,
Plateau, Benue, and Enugu states have tested the resilience of security forces and left many citizens anxious for peace.
“Our country is at a turning point,” the President said. “Those who seek to destabilise us will not succeed.
We will meet every threat with courage and unity.”
Speaking as Commander-in-Chief, Tinubu laid out a dual strategy of strength and care.

He assured the men and women in uniform that they would receive the best available equipment,
reliable intelligence, and sufficient logistical support to not only defend Nigeria’s borders but to take the fight to the enemy.
He emphasized that the human side of the military campaign is equally important.
“War is won not by weapons alone, but by the hearts and minds of those who wield them,” he told the troops.
“Your welfare is my foremost concern. You will have secure housing, prompt payment of allowances, guaranteed healthcare,
Insurance for your families. Your dignity will be honored.”
The President highlighted a series of initiatives now under way,
Accelerated housing projects for service members, expanded family-support services at every base,
Comprehensive insurance coverage, and a review of pay scales to match the risks and sacrifices of military life.
“No soldier should worry about tomorrow’s meals or a loved one’s well-being while on duty,” he said.
Tinubu referred to the armed forces as “silent guardians of our democracy.”

He praised their courage under fire and acknowledged the sacrifices made by officers and enlisted personnel alike.
“You leave your homes, your children, and your everyday lives to stand between Nigeria and terror.
Each time you secure a village, each time you bring a stricken community back to calm,
you write a story of hope for our people and for future generations.”
He called on the soldiers to renew their commitment,
“Let your determination resonate through every valley and forest. Make it clear to our adversaries that their quest for chaos ends here.”
By combining advanced military assets with a strong emphasis on troop welfare,
Tinubu aims to build both the strength and the morale needed for a sustained campaign.
He concluded with a promise: “As your President, I will match your bravery with action, investment,
Unwavering support—today, tomorrow, and always. Nigeria depends on you. Stay strong, and may God bless you all.”
President Tinubu sent a clear signal, no matter the scale of the threat, Nigeria’s defenders will stand firm,
supported by a government determined to safeguard both national security and the well-being of its soldiers.
