A Heartbreaking Accident Claims Young Boy’s Life in Osun State.
A tragic accident occurred in the evening hours in Obaagun Community, Osun State, leaving a family and community in mourning.
A young boy, whose father is a local baker, lost his life when a speeding truck struck him down while he was running an errand.
The boy had been sent by his father to buy fuel at a nearby filling station. As he approached the station, the truck, which was heading to a quarry, hit him. Sadly, the boy died instantly.Eyewitnesses described the horrific scene, with one resident recounting, “The truck was speeding from the Ikirun axis towards the quarry.
The boy was just trying to buy fuel for his father, and then this terrible accident happened.”The driver attempted to flee the scene, but angry residents chased and caught him.
The situation became volatile, with youths nearly attacking the driver before security personnel from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) intervened and rescued him.
The community is now grieving the loss of a young life, with many residents expressing concerns about the dangers posed by speeding trucks in the area. The accident has left a family and community in shock, mourning the loss of a bright and innocent young boy.
