‎Pelse Consulting Sustains Youth Drive at Amplifier Business Clinic 2025

‎Pelse Consulting has once again demonstrated its commitment to youth empowerment with the successful hosting of the 2025 edition of the Amplifier Business Clinic, organised alongside the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development.

‎Now in its fourth year, the initiative birthed and driven by Pelse Consulting has grown into a flagship platform that sharpens entrepreneurial skills, provides mentorship, and connects young innovators to grants and investors.

‎This year’s edition, held in commemoration of International Youth Day, attracted over 100 young entrepreneurs who underwent intensive leadership and business development training before 35 of them pitched their businesses to a panel of judges and potential investors.

‎Speaking at the event, the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, emphasised that youth empowerment is key to reducing poverty and crime in society.

‎He explained that beyond financial support, participants gain practical lessons in leadership, financial literacy, and presentation skills, which position them for long-term success in business.

‎“When young people know they must show up, deliver results, and get paid, they abandon illegal activities and gradually drop those habits,” the Commissioner said. He further noted that over 70 percent of youths in Lagos are already engaged in entrepreneurship, underscoring the need for fiscal and advisory support to scale their ventures.

‎Managing Partner of Pelse Consulting, Adeniji Boboye, reaffirmed the Clinic’s role as the engine behind structured youth entrepreneurship in Lagos, highlighting how Pelse Consulting conceived the programme to provide more than temporary financial support.

‎“Our vision from the start has been to help young people not only start businesses but build them properly with the right structure, strategy, and long-term sustainability. We focus on ensuring that participants live decent, fulfilled lives as individuals first, and then grow their enterprises to employ others and create lasting impact,” he said.

‎Boboye added that over the past four years, the Clinic has guided numerous entrepreneurs to refine their business models, strengthen operational systems, and scale to new heights.

‎“We want businesses that can become multimillion-dollar or even multibillion-dollar investments, that outlive their founders, and contribute to society. Seeing participants applying what they learn and expanding their businesses is the true measure of success,” he explained.

‎The Managing Partner further described how Pelse Consulting equips participants with practical skills across finance, marketing, customer service, leadership, and strategic planning; areas that ensure their businesses are resilient, profitable, and capable of solving real problems in society.

‎Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Oluwatoyin Oke-Osanyintolu, announced that future editions of the clinic would be decentralised across Lagos’s five divisions : Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu, Epe, and Lagos Island, so that more young people can benefit, while the grand finale would continue to hold in Ikeja.

‎One of the participants, Amina Kazeem, founder of Ofada Hub, described the programme as transformative. She highlighted lessons in finance, customer service, and market strategy, noting that feedback from customers would now guide the sustainability and growth of her business.

‎Since its inception, the Amplifier Business Clinic has steadily grown in scope and impact. The 2023 edition introduced a rigorous training and mentorship structure that drew over 400 applications, with selected participants receiving guidance in innovation management, business planning, marketing, and legal considerations.

‎In 2024, the programme awarded grants totalling N10 million to eight entrepreneurs, with the top winner receiving N2.5 million. That edition also marked the graduation of 60 emerging entrepreneurs, solidifying the Clinic’s role as a launchpad for young innovators.

‎Today, the initiative continues to amplify the creativity and resilience of Lagos youth, confirming Pelse Consulting’s vision of raising a new generation of entrepreneurs who are not only profit-driven but also solution-oriented, contributing to economic growth and sustainable development.
