Bandits Abduct 11, Including Nursing Mother, in Fresh Attack on Tsamiya Village
Residents of Tsamiya village in Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State were struck by yet another deadly attack over the weekend, as bandits abducted 11 people, including a nursing mother.
Yahaya Bagobiri, Chairman of the Faruruwa Community and Environs Security Committee, confirmed the attack, stating that the bandits arrived in the village on Sunday evening and took the victims away. He expressed frustration over the failure of security personnel to prevent the attack, despite being alerted to the bandits’ movements.

“We received information around 7pm on Sunday evening about the bandits heading towards the community, with reports that they were spotted in Kogari and approaching our area. We immediately notified the security agencies, but they did not act because they said they had not received orders,” Bagobiri said.
The abducted victims included three married men, seven youths, and the nursing mother.
This latest abduction comes just hours after a similar attack in Yankamaye village, where bandits killed one woman and abducted three others. Despite the repeated attacks in the region, CSP Abdullahi Haruna, spokesperson for the Kano State Police Command, could not be reached for comment, as his phone was switched off at the time of reporting.
