FG Resolves Passport Printing Crisis at US Consulates
The Federal Government has resolved the passport printer crisis at Nigeria’s consulates in Atlanta and New York, USA, following directives from the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
According to Babatunde Alao, the Minister’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, the new passport printers were delivered and installed on February 18, 2025.
This follows complaints from Nigerians in the diaspora about delays in passport processing.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to innovation and improved service delivery, in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
“With these new printers, Nigerians in Atlanta and New York can expect a faster and more efficient passport application process,” the statement added.
