Flight Passenger Goes Partly Naked, Slaps Attendant on Ibom Air
A heated confrontation between a female passenger and an Ibom Air flight attendant ended in drama on Sunday at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, after the woman was removed from the aircraft by ground staff.
The passenger, identified by witnesses as “Comfort,” was on a flight from Uyo to Lagos when she allegedly slapped a crew member during the journey. Passengers said the disagreement began after she refused to comply with instructions from the cabin crew.
On arrival in Lagos, videos posted on social media showed her in a verbal clash with airport security and airline workers before being escorted off the plane. The footage also captured the moment she struck the flight attendant a second time while being led away.

Airport police intervened to calm the situation, while online users drew comparisons between the incident and last week’s viral episode involving musician KWAM1, who was accused of holding up a flight.
Speaking on the matter, the Director of Public Affairs at the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Michael Achimugu, said the altercation was linked to the passenger’s disregard for standard safety procedures, such as turning off mobile phones before takeoff and landing.
“Passengers need to understand that they have responsibilities, not just rights,” Achimugu said, noting that a full report would be released after further investigation.
