Speaking on a trending episode of the Honest Brunch Podcast, the actress detailed how she pursued the culprit after the fitness centre declined to release information about who recorded her without consent.
“iFitness hid her information from me… I found her. I got her arrested, of course,” Blessing said, noting that she felt compelled to take action after her privacy was breached.
Before discussing the arrest, the actress addressed the public ridicule that followed the release of the clip. She defended her natural body and criticised those comparing her to women with surgically enhanced figures. “You get BBL, you dey snap me wey get natural body. Are you stupid, sis?” she remarked.
Blessing also emphasised that her gym appearance is never about impressing anyone. “This is who I have been. I wear the clothes that make me feel comfortable. I’m not trying to hide from nobody,” she said, adding that she refuses to pretend to look flawless while working out.
The actress became a trending topic after an unflattering gym photo and video—captured without her knowledge—surfaced online, showing her tired and without makeup. The footage fuelled comparisons between her everyday look and her curated Instagram images.
In earlier responses on Instagram, Blessing reminded the public that she visits the gym “to stay fit and healthy, not for a fashion show,” stressing that looking exhausted after exercising is normal. She noted she initially avoided legal action, choosing instead to “leave the matter in God’s hands.”
Since the incident, the actress has doubled down on promoting body positivity, launching an online challenge encouraging women with big stomachs to embrace their natural bodies confidently.
