Iyabo Ojo says fulfilling relationships, family milestones have shaped her outlook
Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has shared her thoughts on relationships, motherhood and family, saying personal happiness and a fulfilling relationship play an important role in a woman’s confidence and appearance.
The actress made the remarks during an appearance on The Morayo Show on Monday, where she reflected on her experiences as a single mother, becoming a grandmother and the changes in her approach to public issues.
Speaking on what she believes contributes to a woman’s glow, Ojo said happiness is not determined by marital status but by the quality of the relationship a person is in. She added that an active sex life also contributes to a woman’s radiant appearance.
She also described raising her children and watching them succeed as one of the most rewarding parts of her life, saying their achievements have given her a strong sense of fulfilment.

Ojo said becoming a grandmother has influenced the way she handles criticism and public disagreements. According to her, she now avoids unnecessary controversies to protect her daughter and her family from false claims and public attention, although she would still speak out whenever it becomes necessary.
The actress further disclosed that she travelled to Canada to perform the traditional omugwo for her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, after the birth of her grandson.
Ojo had previously explained why she ensured her former husband played a key role during Priscilla’s wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux in 2025. She said both of them put aside their differences to ensure their daughter’s wedding was not affected by issues from their past relationship.
Priscilla and Juma Jux welcomed their first child, Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, in Canada in August 2025 after announcing the pregnancy earlier that year. Their wedding ceremonies in Nigeria and Tanzania attracted widespread attention and ranked among the most talked-about celebrity events of the year.
