Kwara Hails Orderly Conduct of WAEC Maths Exam
The Kwara State Government has expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the General Mathematics paper in the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) held across the state on Tuesday.
Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, gave the commendation during a monitoring visit to secondary schools in Offa and Oyun Local Government Areas.
According to a statement issued Wednesday by the Ministry’s Press Secretary, Peter Amogbonjaye, the Commissioner described the coordination and discipline observed during the exam as impressive, especially when compared to the earlier English Language paper written last week.

Speaking to students during the visit, Olohungbebe advised them to remain honest and avoid any form of examination malpractice, noting that integrity during exams reflects character beyond the classroom. He urged them not to do anything that could bring embarrassment to themselves, their families, or the state.
He also thanked teachers for their continued commitment to government education policies and acknowledged their role in guiding students toward a better future.
Olohungbebe reiterated that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration is prioritising education and making major investments to give every child in Kwara, regardless of background, a fair chance at success.
Schools visited during the exercise included Erinle Secondary School, Offa Grammar School, Ansarul-Deen College Offa, and Oyun Baptist High School, Ijagbo.
