Nedu Wazobia Steps Down from The Honest Bunch Podcast

Popular radio personality Chinedu Emmanuel, widely known as Nedu Wazobia, has officially stepped down as a host of The Honest Bunch Podcast amid escalating controversy involving social commentator Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman.

The controversy erupted after reality star Deeone, during an appearance on the podcast, alleged that Verydarkman had an interest in men.

Instead of directly addressing the claim, Verydarkman shifted his focus to Nedu, revealing private conversations and making allegations about the women Nedu had reportedly been involved with.

As public scrutiny intensified, Nedu announced his resignation on Instagram on Friday, citing the need to protect his peace of mind, family, and the integrity of the show.

In his statement, he expressed gratitude for his time on The Honest Bunch Podcast but admitted that the intense backlash had taken a personal toll.

“The past week has brought a lot into perspective for me,” Nedu wrote. “Hosting The Honest Bunch Podcast has been an incredible journey—one built on open conversations, bold perspectives, and the willingness to tackle difficult topics. But with that responsibility has come an overwhelming level of scrutiny, antagonism, and unfounded accusations that have now begun to take a personal toll.”

He further explained that while he remains committed to fostering honest conversations, relentless attacks and misrepresentation made it necessary to step back.

Created by Glitch Africa in 2022, The Honest Bunch Podcast is a popular talk show featuring four main hosts: Nedu, Husband Material, Deity Cole, and Ezinne.

Nedu’s departure raises questions about the future direction of the show, but he emphasized his hope that the podcast would continue to thrive.

“I sincerely hope this decision brings an end to the negativity surrounding my name,” he added. “I remain committed to fostering dialogue in ways that encourage meaningful engagement and growth, and I look forward to new opportunities that align with that vision.”
