The Cheerful Samaritan Charity Foundation(TCSCF) RC No: 8249659 has extended a helping hand to over 280 children through its outreach project tagged “Easing the Child School Burden on Parents.” The event, held on September 28, 2025, in Ogun state provided school materials and support to physically and financially challenged pupils, easing the strain on parents as the new academic session begins.
Speaking at the event, the Founder of the foundation, Temitayo Israel Olowoake, shared his journey of resilience and survival, noting that his drive to give back stems from personal experiences.
“Standing before you today is a product of grace, a beneficiary of mercy, a survivor of tragedy, a grateful soul, and a committed lifelong giver,” Olowoake said. “Before I begin, I want you all to erase the notion that the person standing before you is a privileged individual giving from a place of capacity and abundance. No! I am, in fact, just another humble soul, from a place of lack and even disadvantage.”

He recalled surviving a fatal accident as a child—one that claimed the lives of all passengers, including his mother. Left alone, he was rescued and supported by strangers who showed him kindness despite not being related by blood. Years later, in 2022, tragedy struck again when Olowoake was involved in another serious accident that resulted in the amputation of one arm.
“Living as an amputee opened my eyes to another side of the world—the side of helplessness in what many people consider very easy and normal,” he explained. “I feel the pain that people with physical challenges experience on a daily basis.”
Fueled by these experiences, Olowoake established The Cheerful Samaritan Charity Foundation in 2024, with a vision “to be a beacon of compassion and empowerment for special children, restoring dignity and purpose to their lives.”
The foundation’s objectives include establishing a residential facility for physically challenged children, providing full funding for primary and secondary education, meals, clothing, skill acquisition programs, and mobility support. Its target beneficiaries are children aged 7 to 18, with transition plans in place for continued empowerment at age 19 through partner organizations.

During the outreach, Olowoake expressed gratitude to donors and partners whose contributions—both financial and in-kind—made the project possible.
“I am not doing this from a place of abundance or privilege, but with a spirit that refuses to settle for less and live without impact,” he said. “I am deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to making this happen.”
The foundation also announced plans for another event on December 20, 2025, to celebrate the uniqueness of special children and promote inclusivity in society.
