South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa extended the invitation for the gathering, which runs from November 22 to 23 under the banner “Solidarity, Equality, Sustainability”.
While there, President Tinubu plans to push Nigeria’s interests through sideline talks focused on peace, security and economic growth across the continent.
Once the G20 wraps up, the president will fly straight to Luanda for the African Union-European Union Mini-Summit on November 24 and 25.

The meeting will bring together African and European leaders, business people and civil society groups to tackle climate change, infrastructure, digital transformation, manufacturing and agriculture.
Senior cabinet members travelling with him include the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Finance, Economy, Solid Minerals, and Trade and Investment, along with the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency.
This trip marks President Tinubu’s third visit to South Africa since taking office last year, but his first official trip to Angola as president. He is expected back in Nigeria shortly after the Luanda meetings end.
