Coach Sells Osimhen’s Gifted Boots to Raise Funds

Assistant coach of Solution FC, Olisa Ezeasor, has sold a pair of football boots he received from Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, saying he needed the money to support his personal business.

Ezeasor had put the boots up for sale at N1m about two months after Osimhen gifted them to him. The striker last wore the pair while scoring a hat-trick for Nigeria in the 2026 World Cup qualifier against the Benin Republic.

The item was eventually bought by football administrator Fola Olatunji-David for an undisclosed amount.

Ezeasor, who announced the sale on social media, said the decision was strictly financial.

He later told his followers that he would share N250,000 from the proceeds in a giveaway, promising N10,000 each to 25 fans who have supported him online.

The coach had received the boots in September after publicly praising Osimhen for his contribution to Nigeria’s qualification campaign.

Meanwhile, Solution FC fell 2–0 to Abakaliki FC in their league match on Saturday, a result that left Ezeasor complaining about what he described as unfair officiating in the Nigeria National League.
