Fallen Trailer Triggers Chaotic Gridlock on Kubwa Expressway
A fallen trailer on Monday caused severe traffic congestion along the Kubwa Expressway in Abuja.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed that the incident was triggered when one of the vehicle’s tyres pulled out,
leading the trailer to tip over and block part of the busy road.
Though no lives were lost, a few minor injuries were reported.
FRSC officers were deployed immediately to manage the situation, directing motorists to alternative lanes to ease the gridlock.
A towing company, Debasid, has been contacted and its truck was on the way as of press time to remove the trailer and restore normal traffic flow.
The FRSC urged motorists to remain calm and exercise patience while diversion measures were in place.
