The abductions occurred during coordinated attacks on Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Yawota, Community Grammar School, and L.A. Primary School in Esiele, where several teachers and pupils were taken.
During the visit, the governor also stressed the need for unity and peaceful coexistence, especially as the country approaches another political season. He said Oyo State remained committed to tolerance and warned against allowing political differences to create division among residents.
Makinde added that leadership positions are temporary and urged citizens to prioritise the collective interest of the state and the country above political sentiments.
