Police Clear Pastor Adefarasin Over Viral Video Incident
The Lagos State Police Command has cleared Pastor Paul Adefarasin of any wrongdoing after investigating a viral video where he was seen holding what appeared to be a gun from his vehicle.
Police spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, said on Wednesday that the object was confirmed to be a stun gun and not a firearm, noting that it posed no lethal threat.
He added that after a thorough review, including interrogation and a cautionary statement from the cleric, the police found no grounds to pursue the matter further.

The incident occurred on June 6 when a short clip surfaced online showing Pastor Adefarasin lowering his car window with a gun-like object in hand. The video stirred reactions on social media, prompting speculation that he had brandished a weapon.
The cleric later denied the claims, clarifying that the object was not a firearm and that he never threatened anyone. His statement was reinforced by the police investigation, which has now officially closed the case.
