President Tinubu Commissions Key Infrastructure Projects in Kaduna

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is visiting Kaduna State today, Thursday,

for the commissioning of several developmental projects executed under the administration of Governor Uba Sani,

as part of activities marking the governor’s second year in office.

The President’s visit underscores the federal government’s support for state-level development efforts,

especially in critical areas such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and transportation.

High on the list of projects to be inaugurated is a newly constructed 300-bed Specialist Hospital located in Millennium City, Kaduna.

The hospital is expected to significantly improve healthcare access and delivery across the state,

offering residents advanced medical services in a modern facility.

President Tinubu will also unveil the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development in Rigachikun,

which aims to provide young people with practical skills in trades and entrepreneurship.

The center is part of the state’s broader effort to reduce unemployment and equip its youth population for self-reliance.

Additionally, the President will inaugurate several road projects that connect rural and semi-urban communities.

These include completed roadworks in Soba and Samaru Kataf Local Government Areas,

as well as the expansive 24-kilometre Kafanchan Township Road. These roads are expected to ease movement,

enhance local commerce, and open up communities previously burdened by poor infrastructure.

Other infrastructure projects scheduled for inauguration include the newly rehabilitated Tudun Biri Road,

and the strategic 22-kilometre stretch linking Kauru and Kubau Local Government Areas.

Another vocational training center in Tudun Biri is also part of the itinerary, expanding the state’s investment in human capital development.

A major highlight of the visit is the unveiling of 100 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses.

The eco-friendly fleet is intended to modernize Kaduna’s public transport system while contributing to environmental sustainability and reducing dependency on traditional fuels.

According to state officials, the CNG buses will operate across major routes, offering residents a safer, cleaner, and more affordable transportation alternative.

Speaking ahead of the President’s arrival, the Kaduna State Government described the visit as a historic moment and a testament to the collaborative vision between state and federal leadership.

Originally slated for Wednesday, the President’s visit was rescheduled to Thursday following his emergency trip to Benue State,

where he met with victims and stakeholders in the wake of recent attacks in the area.

During his visit to Benue, President Tinubu condemned the violence and emphasized the need for peace, unity, and reconciliation.

He held meetings with traditional rulers, political leaders, community representatives,

and youth organizations, seeking collective solutions to the security challenges facing the region.

The Benue State Government had declared a public holiday for Tinubu’s visit and urged citizens to turn out and  masse to receive the President and engage in discussions aimed at restoring stability.

Back in Kaduna, anticipation is high as residents prepare to welcome the President.

Many see his visit as not only an endorsement of the achievements recorded under Governor Sani’s tenure but also as motivation for continued progress across the state.
