Former presidential aide and social media influencer Reno Omokri has been accused by his ex-wife, Tuokpe Onuwaje, of neglecting their son with special needs.
In a Facebook post on Monday, Onuwaje criticised Omokri for what she described as “staged photos” on social media while allegedly failing to spend time with their child. She claimed that Omokri had not seen or bonded with the boy since June 2024, more than a year ago, despite the child’s need for consistent parental support.

“Stop showing up just for photo ops — show up for real life. Our son with special needs is waiting for quality time with his dad, not just fleeting visits you do with his siblings. Real parenting happens in the everyday moments, not in staged photos. Put down the camera,” she wrote.

Her post followed Omokri’s recent online update in which he shared a picture with their daughter at the gym, calling her his “lookalike alakowe daughter.” Onuwaje responded by stressing that parenting goes beyond such moments and requires genuine presence and involvement in their children’s lives.

Onuwaje said their son has been left waiting for his father to be more present, adding that love and responsibility are shown through everyday actions rather than social media validation. She urged him to become a constant figure in the lives of all his children, particularly their son who needs extra care.

Omokri, who was a former media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, was married to Onuwaje and they share three children together. As of Tuesday, he had not issued any public response to the allegations.
