Thirty-One (31) Suspects Arrested, By Troops Of Four (4) Brigade, Nigeria Army
Thirty-one persons suspected of engaging in cybercrime and ritual-related crimes were arrested by Nigerian army .
Young job seekers lured with false promises of overseas employment,
Were rescued on Monday when troops of the 4 Brigade, Nigerian Army, uncovered a suspected cybercrime and ritualist den in Benin City, Edo State.
Acting on a tipoff, the soldiers, led by Brigade Commander Brigadier General Ebenezer Oduyebo,
Stormed a building “Awesome Garden” within the First Bank Estate, along the Benin-Sapele Bypass in Ikpoba-Okha Area.
The compound, believed to be operated by a criminal syndicate, served as a base for cyber fraud, and other illicit activities.
According to military sources, the victims drawn from various parts of the country were promised job opportunities abroad by the suspected ringleader,
Mr Marvin who is now on the run. Instead, they were held captive, and allegedly forced into participating in cybercrimes .
Recovered from the hideout were several laptops, smartphones, cash, and fetish objects believed to be used for rituals.
The arrested suspects have been handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for further investigation and prosecution.

Confirming the operation, Captain Chinoso Oteh, Public Relations Officer of the 4th Brigade, praised the troops’ swift response.
Brigadier General Oduyebo lauded the synergy among security forces, reaffirming the military’s commitment to eradicating criminal elements from Edo State.
